Overview

These Terms govern your access to and use of Expensease. By accessing or using our service you agree to these Terms. If you disagree, please do not use the service.

Expensease is a lightweight tool to split and track shared expenses. It uses phone-number sign-in with a one-time passcode (OTP) to create and manage accounts. Expensease does not process payments — users remain responsible for settling payments between each other using external payment methods.

User accounts

Accounts are created using your phone number with a one-time passcode (OTP). Keep access to your phone number secure. You are responsible for all activity occurring under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact support immediately.

Acceptable use

You must not use the service to harass, defraud, or facilitate unlawful activities. You must not submit content (notes, descriptions) that you don't have the right to share.

We reserve the right to suspend or remove content or accounts that violate these Terms without prior notice.

Fees & payments

Expensease is free to use at present. If paid plans are introduced in the future, they will be described on the website with clear pricing and billing terms before any charges apply.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You can delete your account in the app via Settings → Delete Account, or by contacting support. Account deletion removes or anonymizes your personal account data; some shared records (such as group expenses and settlements involving other members) may be retained for their accounting integrity but will no longer identify you. Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Expensease and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from or related to your use of the service.
